COVID-19: Important Information
Updated: Friday 8 January, 2021
Physiotherapy services
As the nation moves through alert levels, please check this page for information about changes that occur at the current alert level. We will amend this information whenever we receive new information from the Ministry of Health.
At all levels
Do not to come in to the practice or attend fitness classes if you have any flu or COVID-like symptoms (fever, dry cough, shortness of breath) or if you may have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Instead, please phone us and we will organise a video-conference appointment.
We are providing 'telehealth' services at all levels. This means providing physiotherapy services via video-conferencing, along with FaceTime, phone calls, and emails.
At Alert Level 2
The practice operates normally, but with increased safety protocols in place to ensure everyone's safety. We check for COVID-19 symptoms prior to treatment and employ physical distancing and infection prevention control measures (including personal protective equipment – PPE – where required).
At Alert Level 3
We provide telehealth services. Face-to-face appointments are only available for urgent emergency cases. Please phone or email the practice and a physiotherapist will contact you to determine if your appointment should be via video-conference or face-to-face.
At Alert Level 4
We provide telehealth services to assist with our clients' continued rehabilitation.
Pilates and fitness classes
Pilates classes operate in Alert Levels 1 and 2
At Alert Level 2, you will need to bring your own Pilates equipment including your own mat. Additionally, our social distancing measures mean we must limit participants to 20 at Khandallah and 8 at Churton Park. To ensure your place in a class, please register via email or phone up to one week in advance. If you have booked for a class and can no longer make it, please let us know so we can advise someone on the waitlist.
Online Pilates classes (via Zoom) can be run during all alert levels, but we are not currently offering online sessions.
Senior Balance and Strengthening classes and our Hip and Knee classes operate in Alert Levels 1 and 2. Session times are listed here. These classes are a particularly good option for people who need exercise guidance or who would benefit from being involved in a supportive exercise environment.
Session times and casual and subscription pricing for all classes (live or online via Zoom) are listed on the Pilates/Fitness page.
